5 talks, each built for the room.

Every talk comes with the stories, the exercise and the quotable lines already built. Pick the one that fits your audience, or tell me what they are stuck on and I will build it around that.

Positioning

Eleven Ways to Be Different That Do Not Involve Saying You Are Better

Why quality claims cancel each other out, the levers that live in how a firm operates (delivery model, economics, guarantees, constraints, access), and how to pick one you can hold for two years.

Better is a claim, and a guarantee is a decision. Buyers can only check one of those.

Positioning

How to Map Your Market and Find the Position Nobody Has Taken

Which rivals are worth studying (not the ones you would guess), how to score each one instead of going on feel, and how to read the finished grid for the lever nobody has claimed.

You cannot tell whether you are different until you have written down what everyone else already said.

Delivery Drag: Why Your Marketing Dies Every Time You Get Busy

The five moments marketing predictably gets cut, why "we will restart when things calm down" never arrives, and the half-cadence move that keeps something running when the calendar fills up.

Marketing did not die because it was not working. It died because a client had a deadline and marketing did not have one.

"Fix Retention First" Is Bad Advice Under $1M

Why you need a sample size before any of the tuning advice works, what volume buys you, and what to do with the six months most owners spend polishing content nobody has seen.

At sub-$1M the bucket is not leaky, it is almost empty, and you cannot see the leaks until you fill it.

Make AI Work for You

For teams that have been handed an AI tool and a policy and not much else. Start with one prompt in the assistant you already have, get it right, then grow it into a workflow.

Formats and rates

The numbers, before you ask.

Podcasts and panels are free. Paid formats start here, and the final number depends on travel, length and how much of the day you need me for.

Keynote

A signature talk shaped to your event and your room. Your attendees leave with something they can use on Monday, not a highlight reel of my career.

Workshop or team session

Built around the exercise rather than the slides. The room walks out holding a finished piece of work instead of a page of notes.

Panel or webinar

A clear point of view that gives the moderator something to push against. Good panels need someone willing to disagree, and I am happy to be it.

Podcast guest

Stories, a position your listeners have not heard four times already, and promotion of the episode to my own audience when it goes live.

  • Podcast guestFree
  • Panel or webinarFree
  • KeynoteFrom $4,000
  • WorkshopFrom $7,000

Workshops start at a half day. If the audience is right and the budget is the problem, say so in the form and we will work it out.

From the organizers

What the room took away.

Both came from FSI's Evolve 2026, a retail banking conference. The room was bank and credit union leaders, which is a fair test of whether the material travels outside the agency world.

Chris spoke at FSI's Evolve: The Future of Retail Banking and delivered a solid presentation that was timely for banks and credit unions looking to gain a competitive edge in today's marketplace. His presentation was packed with insight and takeaways for our attendees. We will definitely bring Chris back for another presentation in the future.

Chris DuBois presented a solid session on positioning and differentiation that gave our attendees a different way to think about how their organizations are perceived in the market. His presentation included practical ideas and examples that attendees could apply within the banking and credit union space, while also encouraging broader strategic thinking. Chris brought a knowledgeable perspective to the conversation and gave our group several worthwhile takeaways to consider moving forward.

Bios

Copy, paste, done.

Three lengths and a lower third, so your producer is not chasing me for an intro the day before.

One line

Chris DuBois helps businesses get clear on who they're for and why they're the one to choose, from conference stages, in workshop rooms and one on one.

Short, about 50 words

Chris DuBois is a keynote speaker and positioning advisor, and the founder of DuBois Consulting and Dynamic Agency OS. He helps businesses work out who they're for and why they're the one to choose, then turn that into a plan the team can run. He hosts the Agency Forward podcast.

Long, about 130 words

Chris DuBois is a keynote speaker, workshop leader and positioning advisor. Through DuBois Consulting he works with conference audiences, leadership teams and founders on a question most businesses never answer on purpose: why should the right buyer pick you over everyone who looks the same? He has coached 25+ agencies through positioning at Dynamic Agency OS, made 30+ guest appearances on shows and stages, from agency summits to a national retail banking conference, and hosts Agency Forward, a podcast now past 120 episodes. His talks turn "we do better work" into something a buyer can actually check. Before going independent he served as a US Army infantry officer and ran a marketing agency as CEO. He works from Maine.

Good to know

The logistics.

  • Based in Maine, on Eastern time. I travel for in-person events across the US and Canada, and present virtually anywhere.
  • Travel is booked by the organizer. Flights and lodging for in-person events are booked on your side, so no receipts end up on the invoice.
  • Prep arrives before you ask for it. Talking points, clip-ready lines and promo copy come ahead of the event, so your team is not chasing me the week of.
  • I promote the session. Every stage and show gets shared with my audience on LinkedIn and in the Dynamic Agency Dispatch.
  • Paperwork is simple. Contracts and invoices come from DuBois Consulting, Inc.
